Born and reared in the state of Maine, career opportunities led Frank to the West. While serving in the U.S. Air Force, he was stationed in Laramie, Wyoming, and was involved in monitoring the Soviet Union’s A-bomb program through seismic detection. He went on to attend the University of Wyoming, receiving a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. After receiving his degree Frank became a project engineer for Martin Marietta and helped develop the Titan Missile Systems with assignments in Denver, Colorado, Cape Canaveral, Florida, and Vandenberg Air Force Base, California. During that time he also received a Master’s Degree in Systems Management from the University of Southern California.
Eventually Frank realized his life long dream by forming his own companies and was associated with the housing industry for twenty-eight years. He owned and operated a mobile home manufacturing plant in San Bernardino, building thousands of mobile and modular homes, condominiums in Palm Springs and a hotel in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
When he came to Sacramento in 1994, he formed Frank Goodie and Sons. A major element of the business was replacing windows in existing homes with new state-of -the-art, energy efficient windows. This business also dealt with customizing existing homes and retrofitting homes with earthquake protection devices.
After passing his business on to his son, Frank found that complete retirement was not for him. He decided to utilize his past experiences in the housing field by entering the real estate business and is enthusiastic about being associated with Cook Realty.
In addition to having an interest in real estate, Frank is an avid sports fan. His enthusiasm stems from active participation throughout the years. In high school he earned nine varsity letters and was captain of both his baseball and basketball teams. He attended the University of Wyoming on a baseball scholarship and was ultimately inducted into the University of Wyoming Sports Hall of Fame. Perhaps his greatest honor was being inducted into the State of Maine Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999. Frank also enjoys golf, music, traveling and reading.
With his well-rounded background and business/housing experience, Frank will work hard for those who enlist his services.
