Raised in the Bay Area, Jack Shiels has made his home in Sacramento for the past 30 years. Before becoming a Realtor, Jack wrote for the California Journal and was an Aide to a member of the California State Legislature. He got his start in real estate by doing "fixers". He renovated over 20 houses in Midtown, East Sacramento, Land Park and Curtis Park.
Since obtaining his real estate license 23 years ago, Jack has conducted over 500 transactions. He has been with Cook Realty for 18 of those years. In addition Jack is a Life Member of the Sacramento Association of Realtors Masters Club which represents the top producers in local real estate.
Jack is a big sports fan. He likes football and basketball, and enjoys deep sea fishing in Mexico. He is an avid, if amateur, gardener and is an enthusiastic, if not accomplished, cook. He can be seen walking his two dogs, a miniature Schnauzer and a Jack Russell Terrier, around Curtis Park, where he currently makes his home.
Jack approaches his work with this idea: "Even the most successful and intelligent people may not know much about buying and selling real estate, but as Realtors, we are not only salespeople but we act as representatives, coaches and advisors to help everyone through the process, making the transaction go as smoothly and as easily as possible."
