A native of Phoenix, Arizona, Bob obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from Arizona State University in Business Administration. He spent his working career in sales and management positions.
Bob came to Sacramento in 1972. He and his wife Nancy purchased their home in the College Greens area and still live in this beautiful neighborhood today. The real estate agent who sold them their home eventually convinced Bob he should change careers.
Bob obtained his real estate license in 1982 and three years later joined the Cook Realty family and has served clients faithfully during those years. In 2000 Bob joined the Cook Realty Management Team. Among the many projects and accomplishments Bob has performed are new agent training programs, recruiting programs, and the Internship Program through Sacramento Community Colleges. Known around the office as “Techno Bob” he has helped to improve Cook’s high quality technology. Along with Phil Caine the two of them designed and developed Cook Realty’s first website and they were instrumental in the new award winning site.
Bob Shipley has been Director of Cook School of Real Estate since 1991 and an instructor for real estate license classes since 1990. He has had twenty-two years experience as a real estate professional.
Bob’s real love in his career at Cook Realty has been in teaching, whether it is the License Preparation Course or Sales Training Workshops. With an ever-present twinkle in his eye, Bob presents the Principles of Real Estate in his patented humorous low-key academic style. His many students over the years hold fond memories of his classes.
